This site was made in Wordpress.

Wordpress is much more complicated than iWeb, and you do need to know a bit of code to be able to understand more advanced things.

I'm not a programmer by trade, but a content creator that has fallen into the app development business.(Code3Apps) I have people that do most of the work for me.

However, I do dabble, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can get/purchase some iweb templates for mobile devices. I think, tell me if i'm wrong, that I need something that "fits to screen size". I've been searching on iWeb for a while and can't figure out how to select this option. Any help/ideas?

Thanks

Just a tip for your website.
Make your page width in the page layout in the inspector 984 for the best user experience. Thats the way apple has it
as not everyone keeps their page at full screen so i had to do some scrolling to see the page. Apple has their page at 984px...
But thats just me being picky although your gallery works just fine for me.

I would like to know if iwebUnlimited and this forum were made in iWeb or wordpress or dreamweaver or phpBB because i would like to know what is possible in iWeb. Eg. iWeb unlimited search bar is much nicer than the google one and these are the little things that make big changes to a website. I have searched everywhere on how to make your own search bar on iWeb but i have found nothing. Also the blog is a customised blog to fit in with iwebunlimited's design and i don't know how to do this in iWeb without having to remake the design each time you upload something new. I have also noticed how all the forum and comments are customised to fit in with the iWeb unlimited design and they dont have any advertisement that says what brand has made these widgets. I have also searched up how to do this widgets for iWeb and i have found nothing without using someone else's forum widgit and this is the same with the login and sign up.
Thanks :)

The best way to do this is to create a "print friendly page". Basically, you create a page that has only text and no graphics and backgrounds. That way your users can print just the text, or at least copy and paste the text into a word editor and print from there.

Gallery won't load & I spend hours (literally) with shapes changing size, links not working, audio not loading consistently & the only reason you didn't find any issues is because I spend hours trying to fix them!! Hence I ask is it me or is iweb a complete waste of time...so frustrating when I have a business to run!! Sorry for the rant but it really is getting me down. I have considered a really smart flash template (http://activeden.net/item/ultimate-creative-template/full_screen_preview/16191) but am worried about iphone & ipad access?? any thoughts. Lastly, there does not seem enough interest in this forum to make it viable...It has taken 2 weeks for a response & you (very kindly) are the only one...can't see how it can really be of help??

There are quite a few things in iWeb that would cause some sort of incompatibility with IE. There isn't too much we can do about it besides not use things like these on our sites.

WebCrusher has a feature that increases compatibility with iWeb and IE so you might want to consider that. I noticed that site loads fairly slowly so WebCrusher will also help with that.

Here is a tutorial on making an iWeb site more compatible with IE using WebCrusher

http://www.ragesw.com/blog/2011/04/25/iweb-internet-explorer-optimize/

A client of mine needed a new slideshow format so I decided on Shadowbox for his page (Click on Gallery on the left-hand side). I learned the coding, what I needed to shift, etc... His page works perfectly on my computer (Mac, OSX Snow Leopard) but not on his (PC, Windows presumably).

I have been doing research to get find out how to get Shadowbox to work with IE8 and have followed both possible solutions found here but both have caused not only his Home page to load very slowly, but have affected the loading of all of his other pages as well, even though I didn't touch their code.

As of right now, his page works perfectly in Chrome but IE8, Safari and Firefox all have problems loading the page efficiently.

I'm at a loss and would like to keep Shadowbox if I can help it. Can someone check my page source coding and offer any suggestions?

I have been successful at creating flash videos on websites I've built in IWeb in the past. Now that Mobile Me is ending in 2012, I'll need to rename all of HTML snippets used from the tutorial on creating flash files and move them to my Godaddy server. The problem is I don't know how to rename the part of the code that says

I don't understand why anyone would use anything but iWeb SEO Tool to do their on-page optimizations for an iWeb site. There isn't anything that iWeb SEO Tool can't do for you when you do your optimizations. Why bother getting into the code when there is no reason to? Am I missing something? What are your thoughts?

This isnt an iweb problem, the problem is that you need to link/place the image files on your server, if its not link or placed probperly, it wont display the images. a good way to make sure your files our properly saved is to use transmit our imap. these programs allow you to directly save items on your server and easily find them

I think the most important issue with iweb is, where and how is best to get SEO and META DESCRIPTIONS in iweb designs.
I have followed the advice on this site for tags, and its a great success.

I have used iweb SEO tool, but am wondering is its good enough. Coders i know seem to think its just ok.!!!

Any advice on where we can place SEO in code.

I currently host iweb pages on a domain, edit the code in Komodo now following iweb unlimiteds advice, and drop into domain using FTP.
I fear im becoming to caught up in code and programming though, but it seems only way to do out properly

I completely finished a website and , when publish (via FTP - Fetch) has disappeared one of the 4 albums that I have hosted on that page.I was also missing an image within an album when I activate the slideshow.

First I have published in local folder and everything is fine, but when I publish my web site, those two things fail.
Any idea? Thanks in advance.
